Inspiration

Hey everybody, Thought i'd ask some fellow writers where they get their inspiration from. I've been writing for a bit now and my scripts are getting better and better. My ideas are so random and come from nothing so i have no way of channelling them and thus write in sporadic bursts. any ideas for where one could get inspiration?

Life. Learn to observe the way people speak. Their inflections and their funny way of saying things. Listen to their stories - especially older folks who have seen more in their lives. Go to an old folks home and visit some people. Ask them about their lives. Take notes with a voice recorder or jot them down. That's just one suggestion.
