I just shot my 1st music video using a rented camera and now I'm getting more and more artist wanting to work with me. I saved a little money, but I don't have enough for an "up to date pro camera", so I'm forced to buy the old stock.

Amazon.com had the Xl1 ($1,100) and DVX ($1,800) in my price range... If I want a camera to shoot some music videos, documentry, or short films untill I can afford a better cam... which one would be the best buy or should I keep renting?
