RED Announces New Digital Still & Motion Camera

Those of you who have been following the RED phenomenon may be interested in this news from engadget about a just-announced new camera system. Looks to be fairly cheap and configurable, just as previous RED One cameras have been. There's a thread on this at Slashdot as well. Update: Oh, and they announced a 3D-camera system too.

Not sure what "sqad style"

Not sure what "sqad style" is, but I know they've used the RED at Florida State's film school and heard also that Chapman in California was using them.

That's a pretty big gamechanger for indies. And yeah, what the hell is "squad style" ? I guess the marketing department had to inject a little bit of silly Smiling It's their job I suppose...
