Review:

First off, you can tell a lot about the reviewer if you can actually see one of his/her films, so here is my site. I would sure like to show you a film I made while at USC, but those guy are claiming the copyright for my material! So I think you can guess where my review is going to go from here. I kinda wish I had my money back. I could have financed a decent sized theatrical film with the cash, and I'm sure it would have done more for me than my degree did. The environment at USC is truly vicious. Now that I have entered the working world I have found that most companies would not tolerate the hostile work environment that USC fosters. Students steal ideas from one another. There are almost no work-study openings of any kind, so you really need to step on your peers if you want one of those plum apples. And the Dean is pretty totalitarian. She is more concerned with her image and the ability of that image to raise funds than in fostering creativity. I would recommend that students get a degree in a field that pays well, then try to get into films by interning. Your internship is pretty much the thing that launches your career, not the 4 years of misery you'll face at USC.

Film school should be free

This post got me thinking that film school should, in fact, be free. With all that labor at its disposal, a film school simply needs to crank out one hit a year to pay for everyone's tuition. Since film schools still cost money, I thought the next best thing I could do to remedy this injustice would be to post all the info I picked up while at USC, for free. Visit Free Film School. Thanks!
