Our Filmmaker Helping Filmmakers
What's up with all the filmmakers? Where is the
the film making community? Are all the filmmakers
and their websites full of crap? What about B-side?
Are they about the filmmaker, or themselves? What about The Filmmakers Channel? Well let's shed some light on this.

From my experience, given it might be bias due to the fact that I'm speaking on behalf of The
Filmmakers Channel Network. I don't want to claim to be the way for filmmakers There is more than one way.
If we really want to help filmmaker then we need to work together to promote online distribution, right now it seems we or working apart from each other.
We need to start talking to each other if we want to make this work for the 39% of the films out there that never see the lite of day we need to work together in our niche markets there or 20000 films being produced this year that means its going to take
every possible outlet is going to have to be in place, every filmmaker should be using every online video player available to them
http://www.thefilmmakerschannel.com just happens to be using the Maxcast player, that ABC and Fox are streaming their video from. Definitely a superior player in the fact that it's going full-screen 1080I in the near future, with a built-in PPV function that you can embed in your own website and blog. Like most of the video-players out there it's just as viral. Some are free, some take a lot of work, and some just really suck! In the future, it's going to come down to the quality of the player and it's user-friendly capabilities. These film-making/distribution sites need to promote any video player that a filmmaker wants to use, so that a filmmaker can promote himself from any of the online distribution networks that might be available to him. If we're really about the filmmakers, then we need to give them the choice on how to stream their content whether it be a QuickTime player, or a Maxcast player. I hope that B-Side and The Filmmakers Channel aren't pushed out by bigger players like Amazon, and are able to carve a niche for themselves and provide a different experience for the viewers by letting viewers decide which films go to the top and not some big wig Hollywood distributer.
