Low budget feature film ‘Almost There’ in the country town of Loxton, South Australia.
A young group of independent South Australian filmmakers are currently in production on a digital feature film titled Almost There. The film is due for pending release at the beginning of 2009.
Almost There follows the characters of Theo, Jake, Brad and Katherine as they face the challenges of teenage life. It is a love story, filled with tragedy but offers an enlightening ending. Theo, the pivotal character of the film, is a mentally disabled man who is in his late 20’s, he deals with the hurdles of the norms of everyday life. Jake is a teenage guy who is in love with Katherine who he has never told her how he feels. Katherine is a smart beautiful young lady. Brad is the so called rebel of the school but what made him go down this path? Is there any hope for him? The story takes a huge turn when we are faced with the death of one of the main characters. These stories we offer you hope to inspire you and make you sit back and realise how every moment in life is precious.
Director John deCaux has brought together a number of talented people to create this inspiring film, director of photography Lucas Scheffel, actors: Iain Coleback, Pamela Perre and Alex Pinyon.
Almost There has been in pre-production for over a year now and is in production with a quarter of the movie already filmed. The cast and crew are dedicated to the project and are extremely professional.
The producers of Almost There are also eager to gain sponsorship for pivotal scenes in the film. Please contact us for further information if you or your businesses are interested in contributing towards the production.
