Film columnist looking for filmmaker insights for marketing article

I write the marketing column for the national magazine, Film Arts. My next topic will be on what indie filmmakers need to know about building marketing and sales expenses into their budgets while raising their initial financing.

I’m looking for insights from feature filmmakers who have completed and sold (or self-distributed) at least one film. If you can participate, please be as specific as possible about what you encountered and how much it cost. If you’d like, just focus on one aspect of your post-production journey. Examples: What it costs to promote your film at Sundance if it’s selected. How much you ultimately spent on submitting your film to festivals. Etc.

My deadline for input is Wednesday, January 30. Please send your thoughts to: l...@foggiapr.com. Please also include your email address and/or website URL, if you would like either published with any quotes I’m able to use.

Thank you! And feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.
