Festival Program Director
Tampa/St Pete International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is seeking a Festival Program Director for the 2008 Film Festival.
Friends Of The Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which produces the annual Tampa/St Pete International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Film Series, and Outreach Programs in Tampa Bay. Since 1990, the Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival has showcased compelling film and video that entertains, enlightens and celebrates its audience. In so doing, it has become a vital part of Tampa Bay's cultural landscape and one of the largest gay and lesbian film festivals in the country. The 19th annual Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival will take place from October 2-12, 2008.
The ideal candidate must have large market film festival programming experience, have excellent organization skills, and a desire to be part of a true team experience. Eligible candidates must be comfortable with the management of budgets and expenses. An ideal candidate should have strong inter-personal skills to network both in and out of the film community to bring the best possible program selections to the event. Limited travel is associated with this position. Qualified candidates need not be residents of Tampa Bay, nor is relocation required for the selected candidate.
The Festival Program Director will report directly to the Executive Director. The Program Director will be responsible to assemble and work with the local Programming Committee and Board President/Board of Directors to schedule the 2008 Film Festival.
