Overall my Art Center experience was very rewarding. Still, it´s not a school where you go to be taught. It´s a school where you should already have something that you want to develop and shoot. The school goes through a lot of pain to "help" you make a good film, but they never actually help you develop a good project. You´re pretty much on your own here. The school has great facilities (it has a great soundstage, sound room and editing rooms), a lot of equipment, and agreements with suppliers that can get you discouts or freebies on camera rentals. The instructors are all professionals, so not all of them are great teachers, but they know very well what they´re talking about. The students are very hardworking and cooperative. Still, the school does not develop their (our) IQ´s very much. It focuses more on the hands on stuff. If you´re Wim Wenders,Truffaut or Tarkowski this is not the school for you. If you´re Michael Bay or Tarsem, then you already went to school here.

Re: Art Center College of Design (ACCD)
I went to ACCD (class of 86) and I loved how the school opened up my mind to think outside the box. Having said that, ACCD is quite political in that if you're a photo, trans design or graphics packaging major.... you get catered to. If you're a film major, you're not really treated like the other majors and the equuipment is outdated.
My score: 10.
