I thought this would be a simple purchase...so far has turned out to be overwhelmingly difficult. Perhaps someone here can cut through the fog and point me the right direction. I'm looking for what I think is called a breakout box...analog to digital. I don't need one of those $600 units, just a simple thing. The problem is compatibility. I can't find a box or card which will be substantially compatible with Win2kPro. I'm working with Premiere 6.5, so don't need additional editing software, but want an easier way to get older analog into my system. There has to be something out there...what were Windows guys using BEFORE XP sp2? Any help would be appreciated, so that I can stop using my GL2 as a breakout box. Thanks in advance Terry in Iowa
Re: Product search help needed by newbie to this board
Canopus ACEDVio card is 100% compatible and has ANALOG & DV in/outs, including S-Video. It does not have a "breakout box", but it has the connectors and works great. I use it with AVID XPRESS PRO and Adobe Premiere from versions 5.1 to Pro 2.0 It works great and is cheaper. - PJR
