Mac Pro or iMac?

I want to get into editing short films. I know that apple computers with Final Cut Pro are the best for this. I would like to know exactly what I might need. (ie processors, ram, hd space, graphics card, etc...) or maybe just let me know what you are using and how well does it respond. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I use the iMac. I have cut 10 features with it with no problems. The only thing I added was RAM - I use 1GB and external hard drives. The processor speed and graphics are fine right out if the box.

I know guys who edit with iMac just fine, but it's not as expandable and upgradable like the Powermacs. Whether or not that will cause you serious limitations depends on what you're planning on doing. I think iMac's support dual monitor now, so that's cool. But whatever you get, get as much RAM as you can afford. At least 1.5 gigs. More if possible.
