Filters

How do they do those filters in professional movies, like the blue tint you see in the gollum scene in The Lord of the Rings? Can you get these filters for premiere or final cut pro? which is better? Thank you for your time.

Not filters

They are not filters, just colour correction and use of digital shading. Usually these transfers are done on v. expensive suites. But editing software is getting better (avid symphony has some good colour correction on it). As for FCP and Premiere - sorry, have not used them. WPS

Re: Filters

uhm, i've used Premiere, and it does have a color correction tool. but i'm not satisfied with the quality. the colors look too artificial, they call too much attention to themselves, which is terrible.
