Big Question. I used to hook my VCR to a friend's XL1 to my Power Mac G4 via firewire to transfer VHS tapes to Final Cut for editing. I now live over 2,000 miles away from my pal with the XL1 and I'm wondering how can I get my VHS tapes to Final Cut without it? I know of video transfer decks but they cost over $300. Can anyone suggest a device that uses firewire and/or USB to transfer video? Anything you can think of - as long as it's under $250 - products, doohickies that you can instruct me to make out of Radio Shack parts perhaps, etc. Thanks, Nick V.
