Which camera is best for 35mm film

Hello, Can someone suggest the best camera to use 35mm color film. Arri has a wide range but is way too expensive. Are there any other good cameras which cna be used and can be rented. TIA.

Arriflex and Panavision cameras are the standard for 35mm and can be rented. There is Aaton, Eclair and the Russian made Kinor, Lomos and Konvas.

Thanks for the response. Any particular model comes to your mind which wouldnt give any technical issues on set. The cheapest one?

The cheapest bet would prob. be to shoot super 16 and then blow it up to 35. A lot of indie folks go this route cos its so much cheaper than 35 and still gives you good pic. quality. You can digitally blow up the super 16 footage to 35 with no loss of resolution.
